“Our guide Ku was wonderful, we really enjoyed her commentary about local life. The accommodations were good, the scenery was beautiful and the swim at the waterfall was totally awesome. The only reason for 4 stars were the very aggressive local women trying to sell you things. They insisted in "helping" along the trail and then applied heavy guilt trips if you didn't buy from every single "helper" ( we bought one expensive thing from one woman and a couple of little things but then said no to the others). It really spoiled the experience of interacting with the locals.”

The weather was not great for trekking as it rained all day but our guide - I think her name was Mama Mao - was very entertaining and gave loads of information about the flora and fauna. In spite of all around rainy and cloudy weather, it was a beautiful and fascinating walk with a local tourguide (Vang) who was friendly and informative about her culture and the surroundings. Hotel was great, very friendly staff and well equipped, albeit the room was a bit moldy which is probably hard to avoid with the weather etc. Great breakfast, selected restaurants were also good.
